Hi people.

Well. I see this is my .. wow second entry of 2007. Not that I was one for a lot of Journal entries anyway.

I've been uber busy. Just. wow.

Nothing really that exciting I think you would be interested in, but hey, it happens.
I managed to get out a few times with my new camera but can't even be organized enough to get up my shots.

Ever feel that.. something is just missing?
Its not that I don't care, because I do, but something is lacking in lustre that was once here.

Could be that I haven't seen or heard from comgoddess (my lovely friend who brought me here) in a long time. Last email I sent went unanswered.

Time moves on.

People change. It happens.

I look around the other journals and see im not the only one who is busy. My Sympathy to you all, I know sometimes life throws you something you have to deal with when you would rather do something else.

I had this thought yesterday while driving with my parents.
Even if I never take another photo I wont ever look at things the same.

Even looking out my bathroom window I always find beauty, and no matter how busy I am, even a moment to appreciate that is all I really need.
(even If I want more)
Its better than none you know?

I've waited a long time.

I've pondered, done some looking and reading.

But I completely admit, I'm a bit of a newbie here. After reading a few people's great advice and comments I made up my mind.

I went a bit on the safer cheaper side...

But I did it

I finally bought a new camera.

Its a FujiFilm s9600

Well my old one is a FujiFilm Compact variety a105 so this is a big step up for me.

I just got it on wednesday, and of course planned to go out of town this weekend to play with it, and

Snow....

so I dont really want to risk driving in the weather, who knows what it will do, and well... I think I'll just try for a Saturday drive. Plenty of places here to go.

Anyway I'm super excited and... Look too, Im not dead.


In other news has a new admin who is doing a superly-awesome job.
I'm still there too, but she's got things running so smooth I don't really do much.

With the weather getting nicer I hope to be getting out and taking some more photos and well sharing them too.

The new year is upon us, everything is fresh. I haven't been on DA much, but I'm back now and getting geared up again. I admit I missed the inspiration from everyone. Also I know you can commit tons of time to this place, and I don't always have it.

I hope to make some updates, I already got up 4 new photos from a short trip to my sister's but 2007 maybe will give me an excuse to update the rest of things here too..

The scapes-club is going really well if you haven't been there yet you should check it out. I am hoping we can do a contest very soon!

I'm feeling completely random.

Pretty happy too.

Ok so I got my act together a bit here. I'm much more caught up. I still have a small stack of deviations I want to comment on, but my pending list is not topping 1500 anymore. ACK. I'm sure I could have been a better person in cleaning them out, but I have decided this:

Guilt is not fun.

Truth is, if I'm watching you, I probably love almost every deviation you do.

Another thing, and that is.

what a difference time can make.

My whole life and attitude has changed so much, and yet so little since I started here in April.

I love photography, I don't get to do enough of it, and more and more I think of it, the more I want a new camera. mm

Yeah I think that is how I will plan to spend my money from taxes next year. That's less than 6 months away.

Anyway, I wish ALL of you happiness- Im still here plodding along.

Check out the *Scapes-club its pretty cool. Going well too, I've been running it solo since the founder has been away. I hope when he returns he likes my changes, and descions, we have a great group of scape photographers, something always good to look at.

Keeps me inspired!
